Tracey Gilligan called the meeting to order. There were 12 people in attendance.
Tracey made a motion to approve the minutes from November, 2011. Voted and unanimously approved.
Principal’s Report (Carrie Vaich)
Carrie extended thanks to all those who helped with Holiday Boutique this year. She shared that she had received positive feedback from those new to the school. As a whole, Holiday Boutique was a success.
Carrie then shared that the elementary band and chorus will be making their annual “tour” to all three elementary schools on December 19, 2011.
There will be an all-school sing-a-long at Winthrop on December 23, 2011 at 9 AM. This annual event is open to parents. Each grade will sing a song after which teachers will sing as well. Carrie shared her idea to have the teachers and parents stand in a circle around the children and sing a song to them.
The 5th Grade play will be in February, 2012 rather than in June, 2012.
On Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday of next week (12/13, 14, 15/11), there will be a Holiday Boutique Children’s Room sale during Winthrop’s lunches. This is meant to sell some of the remaining children’s room stock as well as to give those who couldn’t attend Holiday Boutique a chance to do some holiday shopping. Carrie to do a “ConnectEd” message about the sale.
